Inside the Pretzel
Begin at the center of the pretzel: the founders wanted brioche-like softness, then surrounded it with a traditional Bavarian crust and added buttery chew. That specification grew from their frustration with lackluster alternatives. In Boston in 2018, they made it the basis of Eastern Standard Provisions, an artisanal food brand whose mission is to "elevate the snack food experience." Waltham, MA is listed as headquarters.
Construction and ingredients support that original description. Every soft pretzel is handcrafted with high-quality ingredients and no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. The interior remains light and airy in a brioche-style form; the outer layer retains its traditional Bavarian-style profile.
